Wounded Warriors of South Florida Softball Event

Invictus would like to give thanks to the Wounded Warriors of South Florida, the Stand Down House, the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team and Dana Bowman for allowing us the opportunity to volunteer security services for the Step Up To The Plate Event at Roger Dean Stadium. We would also like to thank Invictus Security Academy graduates for stepping up and volunteering their time to help support our American Heroes.

What a great Softball game it was! The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team VS the Legends. I actually enjoyed this game over most MLB games and I’m a huge baseball fan! Watching the Vets give 150% playing, diving for balls and a hustling around the bases turning a double into a triple was amazing. To see great men who went to War for our Country and after getting injured in Combat, seeing how they overcame their injuries and gained their sense of purpose in life back, playing a sport that requires teamwork and comradery . This was motivating to me as a Combat Veteran and once again was a privilege to see them play live.
