FLORIDA CLASS D SECURITY LICENSE

To become a Security Guard/Security Officer in the State of Florida students are required to complete the Florida Security Guard License Certification Course.  The D License is the required Security Licensing Course you must complete to work as an Unarmed Security Guard.  To apply for Security Guard Jobs, you must already have the Florida Security License issued. The Florida Class D Security License requires 40 Hours of classroom training by a licensed Security Instructor (DI) at a Licensed Security School (DS) which is regulated by the State of Florida Division of Licensing.  The DOL allows the Florida Security Guard Licensing course to be divided into two Security Courses. PART 1- 24 hour Security D Course is the initial training course which allows students to receive a Temporary Security D License and students have 6 months to complete the remaining 16 hours of Security Training in the PART 2- 16 hour Security D Course.

PART 1- 24 HOUR- SECURITY CLASS D LICENSE

Invictus Security Academy offers the Part-1 Security Officer Training as two, 12 –hour days of classroom instruction.  The 24 hour Class D Security Guard Training includes all Security License Requirements and Security Course curriculum mandated by the State of Florida Division of Licensing.

Invictus offers the American Red Cross First Aid Training and Certification in the 24 Hour Security Class D Course. We offer the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR and AED Certification after each 24 hour D Course (Except Weekend Courses). Security Officers are the first on the Scene of most Medical Emergencies and should be able to respond to any Basic Medical Emergency which may save the lives of the People they are protecting.

PART 2- 16 HOUR- FLORIDA CLASS D SECURITY OFFICER LICENSE

In accordance with Florida Statues, every Licensed Security Officer that is issued a Class "D" License based on 24-hours of initial Security Officer Training is required to complete an additional 16-hours of instruction within 6 months from the time that the Temporary D Security License was issued. Invictus provides the required 16-hours of Security Class "D" Training as two, 8-hour days of class room instruction. The 16 hr D Security Training includes all Security License Requirements and Security Guard Course curriculum mandated by the Florida Division of Licensing.
